This new Herd Kasco Model 2440 3-Point Hitch 32 Bushel Broadcast Seeder/Spreader is built entirely in the USA for Category 2 Tractors. This Herd Model 2440 is the BIG ONE!
The Herd Model 2440 Broadcaster has a 32 bushel or 2440 lbs. capacity
and has a base plate that will pivot to center the pattern of any
material. This seeder will consistently and evenly spread all types of
seeds and granulated or palletized fertilizer. Also works well with dry
lime with the optional lime agitator. It will spread uniformly from 3
ft. up to 40 ft.
With Herd's precision metering system, you can control spreading of
seeds down to 3 lbs. per acre or fertilizer from 50 to 1000 lbs. per acre.
The operator can open and close the seed gate from the tractor seat
with the hydraulic remote control! (requires 8" stroke cylinder, with
28-3/8" extended length. Not included).
The Herd 2440 has a maneuverable size that works well for
farms, nurseries, schools, golf courses, parks, etc.
The Herd Kasco Model 2440 3-Point Hitch
PTO Broadcast Seeder/Spreader has a shielded telescoping PTO shaft and a
heavy cast iron gearbox that has tapered roller bearings and drop
forged gears. The gearbox is standard for 540 RPM tractors, but can be
ordered for 1000 RPM.
The heavy-duty construction has an independent stand and carrying frame. The
Herd Model 2440 has powder-coated paint for non-rust durability and a heavy-duty 14 gauge
steel hopper with welded seams.
